G-Shock Taiwan is releasing a new collaboration with Japanese artist Yu Nagaba, scheduled to be launched on Saturday. The G-Shock GMA-S2100YU-7A is the third collaboration with the illustrator (and the first outside of Japan), with the first being a DW-5600 in 2018 and the second being DWE-5600 parts for My G-Shock in 2022. The base is a white GMA-S2100-7A with an exclusive love motif in time for Qixi Festival (Chinese Valentine’s Day). Along with the artist’s printed signature, the band features a pattern depicting two lovers looking up into the starry sky.
The GMA-S2100YU-7A will be available on July 23 for NT$4,300 at www.casio.com/tw and at directly-operated concept stores (except Outlet). G-Shock Taiwan states, “All purchases of G-SHOCK WOMEN series models will be accompanied by a co-branded canvas shoulder tote bag … while supplies last.” The G-Shock Store in Taipei is currently hosting an exhibition until the end of August, which includes additional artwork by Yu Nagaba and a display of the previous collaborations.
