On Wednesday, April 20 (14:00), the My G-Shock watch customization service in Japan is releasing limited edition DWE-5610YU parts in collaboration with artist Yu Nagaba. The parts make up three watches in green, white, and a clear skeleton style, and can also be mixed and matched with each other. These parts include the face, bezel, band, and band keeper. The custom design has an outdoor mountain theme with illustrations on the bands depicting hikers, animals, and a camp fire. The artist’s signature and handwritten labels appear on the faces, along with musical notes and a star on the bezels. The watches also have a custom EL backlight with a deer graphic and an engraved stainless steel case back depicting a camper in a sleeping bag. Exclusive packaging by the artist is also included.
My G-Shock watches are based on the DWE-5610, which has a Carbon Core Guard case. This is Yu Nagaba’s second collaboration with G-Shock. The first was a limited DW-5600 released with Beams in 2018.
