The G-Shock Rangeman GW-9400-1B is the first conventional-looking Rangeman GW-9400 released since 2016, and it is the only other black model (outside of Japan) along with the standard GW-9400-1. The GW-9400-1B has a mostly blackout style with gray bezel lettering and labels, silver side buttons and buckle, black IP band keeper, and a reverse LCD display. The GW-9400, a best-selling series since its release in 2013, features Tough Solar power, Multi-Band 6 radio timekeeping, and the Triple Sensor Version 3 with altimeter-barometer, compass, and thermometer.

Really wish they would’ve used an STN display. This is just too difficult to read at certain angles.

Went to the G-Shock store in Manhattan over the weekend. One of the guys had it. It looks dope though I wish Casio would release a standard color variant with the carbon fiber straps. Keep them as separate SKUs with different piece points. $300 and $450 for example.
I think maybe the demand in the U.S. for carbon fiber bands (with a higher price) would not justify doing that.

I agree. And make the GPR B1000 as quick to operate as the GW 9400. I sold my GPR because it sucks to operate at night. It´´s push, scroll, select, push…all this with constant light button pushings. Also, aesthetically, in my opinion of course, Casio should made the solar panel darker and make the buttons checkered. I never liked the buttons on the new Rangeman.
