G-Shock Japan offers its limited-time restoration service for classic square models again

G-Shock Japan is once again offering its limited-time restoration service for origin DW-5000C and other early square screw-back models from the ’80s and ’90s. The service, which has a tax-included price of 10,560 yen, includes the installation of a new bezel, band, spring bars, o-ring seal, and battery, as well as internal cleaning and new button gaskets and bezel screws if necessary. The watch is then tested for daily water resistance (for protection against splashes) and returned in a special box. The application period is from December 5, 2023, to February 29, 2024, and eligible models include DW-5000C (1983), WW-5100C (1983), DW-5200C (1984), WW-5300C (1984), DW-5600C (1987), DW-5800C (1987), DW-1983 (1993), and SWC-05 (1994).
Casio first offered this service in 2018 for the DW-5000C and DW-5600C models and later expanded the offering to more models in 2021. This service is limited to residents of Japan, but it was also previously available in the United States and Taiwan for the first time in 2022.
