G-Shock GM-B2100D-1A is discontinued but still available for now

G-Shock GM-B2100D-1A Discontinued

The full metal G-Shock GM-B2100D-1A, one of the three debut models for the GM-B2100 series in 2022, is officially discontinued, according to Casio Japan (for GM-B2100D-1AJF, casio.com/jp). Although the GMB2100D-1A ($550) is still available in the U.S. and other countries, it is not expected to be restocked once all units are sold. It is effectively being replaced by the GM-B2100SD-1A (pictured below left with GM-B2100D-1A on right), which is also silver but with a higher-contrast dial.

It may be worth keeping an eye on the GMB2100D-1A at various retailers for possible clearance sales. Topper Fine Jewelers discounted it to $330 in December, which was a great price for a full metal G-Shock. The GM-B2100 features Tough Solar power and Bluetooth Smartphone link, and is the only 2100 series with a traditional screw-back case.
