The Baby-G BGA-280 series made its debut in March, and four pastel colorways were added in May for Japan and Asia. The series was initially released in Japan, Asia, and the U.K.
The BGA-280 has a sporty style with a clean analog-digital dial and metallic markers. Features include shock resistance, 100-meter water resistance, world time, 1-second stopwatch (max 59’59 with elapsed, split, 1st-2nd place times), countdown timer (max 60 minutes, 1-minute increments), 5 daily alarms with 1 snooze, hourly time signal, 12/24 hour format, and Super Illuminator LED light with adjustable afterglow. The BGA-280 measures 47.4 x 43.4 x 14.8 millimeters and weighs 42 grams.
The three debut models included the black BGA-280-1A, pink BGA-280-4A, and white BGA-280-7A. The May releases are inspired by Los Angeles street designs and include the green BGA-280-3A, ivory BGA-280-4A2, translucent pink and blue BGA-280-4A3, and translucent purple BGA-280-6A.
