Casio America announced the G-Shock GMDB800-1 and GMDB800-4 from the GMD-B800 series of affordable fitness watches with a step counter and Bluetooth smartphone link. These watches are designed for women and have the same features as the larger G-SQUAD GBD-800 for men.
The fitness features include an accelerometer for daily step counting, five interval timers (repeatable up to 20 times), and a 200-lap record memory. The G-Shock Connected mobile app allows the user to create a daily step target, maintain step count logs with five exercise intensity levels, calculate calories burned, view the stopwatch logs, and set up the interval timers. The Bluetooth connection also allows the watch to automatically sync the time four times a day. Other Connected features include 300-city world time, home and world time swapping, alarm setting, simple time setting, and a phone finder function. The GMDB800 also features shock resistance, 200-meter water resistance, a 1/100 second stopwatch with split, countdown timer, 5 alarms, and auto LED light.
The GMDB800-1 has a black case with rose gold accents and an inverted LCD display. The GMDB800-4 has a blush pink case with a standard LCD display. Each watch has a list price of US$99 and is due for release at the end of April 2020.
