G-Shock MTG-B3000 video emphasizes slimness (12.1 mm)

G-Shock Singapore recently released an expanded MTG-B3000 promotional video, hosted by Yoshiki Nakatsuka of the Mechanism Development Unit. The video illustrates the Dual Core Guard structure featuring a carbon fiber reinforced case and stainless steel external parts. The newly developed stainless steel 3D case back combined with a thinner solar-powered module results in a total thickness of just 12.1 millimeters. (In comparison, a DW-5600 is 13.4 mm, and the current slimmest G-Shock for men, the GA-2100, is 11.8 mm.) The video demonstrates how the band is easily and quickly removeable without the need for any tools, and a resin or stainless steel composite band is currently available to purchase separately in Japan. The video also covers the major functions and other exterior features of the made-in-Japan watch.
