To commemorate National Day of Singapore 2021, G-Shock is releasing the limited edition AW-500BB-4ENDP21 in collaboration with local artist Tobyato. The red watch features a white lion graphic on the band, matching the colors of the country’s flag. Tobyato says of the collaboration, “This design embodies the energy I love about this lion city and this watch is my own small way of showing gratitude to this tough, small, resilient, island that we call home.”
Tobyato, who graduated from NTU, is a graphic designer and has also worked with Adidas, Asics, Levi’s, and Uniqlo. The AW-500 base is a recent revival of the first G-Shock with an analog display. The new AW-500 features an EL backlight for the LCD display and an approximate 7-year battery.
