Benicio del Toro is possibly the greatest celebrity G-Shock fan of all time, based on the frequency and variety of G-Shock watches that he is often spotted wearing. Currently on the tail end of an international promotional tour for the highly anticipated Paul Thomas Anderson film One Battle After Another, del Toro has been spotting wearing a G-Shock DWE-5600 at promotional events and interviews. The specific model is the DWE-5600JB-1A9 collaboration with Colombian musician J Balvin. We last spotted del Toro wearing a DW-5000SS-1 at an Armani fashion show in 2024, so he appears to be a true fan who enjoys buying new models, and he is proof that it is perfectly fine to wear a G-Shock with a suit.
Del Toro wore the G-Shock DWE-5600JB-1A9 at the London premiere of One Battle After Another.
The DWE-5600JB-1A9 (casio.com) was released in early 2025 and is still available in the U.S. for $230. It features a Carbon Core Guard case and includes two bezel and band sets in black and translucent yellow.
