Blue GBX-100TT-2 and gray GBX-100TT-8 are the first new G-Shock G-LIDE GBX-100 colorways since 2021

The G-Shock G-LIDE GBX-100 series hasn’t seen many colorways since its debut in 2020, with just four besides the three debut models and the last one coming in 2021, but April 2023 will see the release of the blue GBX-100TT-2 and gray GBX-100TT-8. These models have soft urethane bands made of biomass plastics and use the same module (3482) as previous GBX-100 models. These G-LIDE surfing models also offer fitness functions that are usually reserved for G-SQUAD models.

The GBX-100 has the most advanced tide function for a G-Shock watch, offering high and low tide times and precise measurements for tide height predictions, with support for approximately 3,300 worldwide locations. (The GSW-H1000 also offered specific tide height information, but it appears to be discontinued.) The watch is also equipped with a step counter with life log data and calories burned measurement, and it offers training functions for running such as auto lap measurement, training log and lap data, training analysis, and training plan creation. It is highly recommended to use the Bluetooth function with the G-Shock Move smartphone app in order to use all the tide and fitness functions. A Bluetooth connection also offers automatic time adjustment and phone notifications.

Other features include moon graph and moon age data, vibration alerts, sunrise and sunset time, world time, 1-second stopwatch (100 hours max), interval timer (5 up to 60 minutes with auto repeat), 4 alarms (with snooze), and auto LED light. The GBX-100 uses a CR2032 battery and has a battery life of approximately two years.

In Japan, the GBX-100TT-2JF and GBX-100TT-8JF have a tax-included price of 27,500 yen each.

Update: G-Shock U.S. released the GBX100TT-2 and GBX100TT-8 in late April 2023 for $200 each.
