KITH x G-Shock GM-6900 Rose Gold Collaboration for 2020

KITH x G-Shock GM-6900 Collaboration Watch for 2020

Ronnie Fieg teased an upcoming G-Shock GM-6900 collaboration with his NYC-based lifestyle brand and streetwear retailer Kith. This is the first collaboration based on the GM-6900, which itself is based on the classic DW-6900 that celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.

The KITH x G-Shock GM6900 watch has a rose gold ion-plated stainless steel bezel with a matching face and a Kith logo engraved on the front light button. This is also the first GM-6900 model to have a positive (i.e. non-negative) LCD display.

Update:

The watch also includes two quick-release resin bands in black and white with a Kith monogram pattern and a rose gold IP stainless steel band keeper and buckle. The tagline “Just Us” appears when the EL backlight is activated, and the Kith logo appears on the rose gold IP stainless steel case back. A custom box and display case completes the package. Kith released a promo video featuring G-Shock creator Kikuo Ibe (see below).

The limited KITH x G-Shock GM6900 will be available online at Kith.com on February 10, 2020, 11 a.m., and also in-store, with a price of US$380. (Kith has shops in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, and London.) It will also reportedly be sold at select G-Shock stores in Asia.

(Hodinkee published an article about the watch with a lot of photos and a video of the EL backlight.)
