G-Shock DW-H5600MB-1A4 and DW-H5600MB-8A9 with heart rate monitor have high-tech vibes like the GMW-B5000TVA

The unique style of the upcoming G-Shock DW-H5600MB-1A4 is reminiscent of the high-tech vibes from the GMW-B5000TVA-1 “Virtual Armor” edition, which was one of the most unique and popular limited editions for the full metal GMW-B5000 series. The DW-H5600MB-1A4 has a striking red line around the display along with laser-engraved button function labels on the black ion-plated stainless steel front bezel piece. The black and red color scheme and labeled bezel bring to mind the sci-fi and virtual-inspired styling of the GMW-B5000TVA-1, which along with its unique look was also a deluxe titanium model with a price of $1,650. In Japan, the DW-H5600MB-1A4JR is reportedly a late September release with a tax-included price of 46,200 yen (about $326), which is the same price as other DW-H5600MB models with a metal bezel like the DW-H5600MB-1JR.

Update: The DW-H5600MB-1A4JR and DW-H5600MB-8A9JR were released in Japan on September 27 with a tax-included price of 46,200 yen each. The DW-H5600MB-8A9JR is a “Web Exclusive” according to Casio Japan. These DW-H5600 models have cases and bands made of bio-based resin.

Update 2: The DWH5600MB1A4 and DWH5600MB8A9 are expected to be released in the U.S. sometime in October with a price of $300 each.

The GMW-B5000TVA-1 was a full titanium limited edition with a similar aesthetic that sold out in 2021.

Another upcoming model, the DW-H5600MB-8A9, was leaked by Morgan Gshock (instagram.com/morgan_gshock) but unlike the DW-H5600MB-1A4 was not unveiled by Japanese media outlets yet. This model has a more subtle appearance with a light gray body and band and a silver stainless steel bezel with the same button labels laser engraved in white.
