G-Shock Utility Black Series with Cordura Eco Bands and Positive LCD Displays

G-Shock is releasing the Utility Black Series in January 2024 featuring tactical-style blackout colors, Cordura Eco fabric bands, and non-inverted (or positive) LCD displays. The positive LCD display combined with the blackout style is somewhat unusual for a G-Shock, and this series should appeal to those who need a tool watch and want a screen that is as legible as possible in all conditions.

The models include the DW-5600BCE-1, GA-700BCE-1A, and GA-2100BCE-1A. The bands are made of Cordura Eco fabric, which is made from recycled Cordura yarn and recycled PET. The large GA-700BCE-1A is the first GA-700 model with a cloth band. The GA-2100BCE-1A is the first non-collaborative GA-2100 model with a cloth band, but there have also been GAE-2100 and GM-2100 models with a cloth band.

In Japan, the tax-included prices are as follows: DW-5600BCE-1JF (15,400 yen), GA-700BCE-1AJF (19,250 yen), GA-2100BCE-1AJF (18,150 yen). The series is also expected to be released worldwide.

G-Shock U.S. is expected to release the DW5600BCE-1, GA700BCE-1A, and GA2100BCE-1A for $120 each sometime in January 2024.
