Netflix recently declared “Extraction” to be on its way to being its biggest premiere ever, with an estimated 90 million households viewing the movie in the first four weeks. That essentially makes it the biggest Netflix movie of all time.
Extraction also represents one of G-Shock’s biggest and best appearances in a film, as Chris Hemsworth wears a G-Shock Rangeman GW-9400-3 as mercenary Tyler Rake, and co-star Randeep Hooda wears a G-Shock GA-700.
Writer and co-producer Joe Russo says that a sequel, or possibly a prequel, is officially in the works, with a deal for him to write the script. The plan is for Chris Hemsworth and director Sam Hargrave to return, but they will not be brought on until the script is complete. Hemsworth publicly expressed interested in returning for a sequel. The question remains, will Tyler Rake be wearing a G-Shock Rangeman GW-9400 again?

Making this film was one of the most exhausting but rewarding experiences I’ve ever had on a set. Our director @thesamhargrave pushed the boundaries like no other. We set out to make the most insane, intense action film and I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved and beyond thankful to everyone involved in making this film possible. It releases tomorrow on @netflix – I can’t wait for you all to finally see it.
