Watch Geek is giving away a G-Shock Gulfman G-9100

To celebrate reaching 110,000 subscribers, YouTube channel Watch Geek is giving away a G-Shock Gulfman G-9100. In order to enter, visitors must subscribe to both Watch Geek’s channel and his friend’s food channel Kuhar Ivica, and also like and comment on the 110K giveaway video. The entry period is until May 31. (The winner will be randomly drawn and identified in a new video, and Watch Geek warns of scammers who may contact and deceive people into thinking they won.)

The G-9100 is an unexpected model for a giveaway, as it appears to be completely discontinued at this point, though it was available in the U.S. not too long ago. (Watch Geek did a review of it five months ago. The GW-9110 with Tough Solar and Multi-Band 6 is still active in Japan.) The G-9100 is a Master of G model from 2007 featuring tide and moon graphs and rust-resistant titanium exterior parts including the case back. The G-9110 is also known for having 3 multi-function alarms (rather than the daily alarm) and a 7-year battery life. The Dual Illuminator lights up both the EL backlight across the LCD sections and the rest of the watch face.

Is it officially discontinued? I keep seeing new ones popping up for sale in my area – SE Asia – indeed bought one, fresh in box recently. But obviously, because they don’t have batch numbers, it’s not possible to determine date of manufacture. Dead stock, possiblity, guess I will see how long the battery lasts and guess from there.
Might take a while
One of my absolute favourite watches.
