Former U.S. Navy SEAL and bestselling author Leif Babin apparently bought a new G-Shock watch recently. He was still wearing the discontinued G-Shock DW-6600 (a.k.a. the Navy Seal G-Shock) as recently as May 2017. Naturally Babin’s new watch is the G-Shock DW-6900, the closest model to the DW-6600 (with the same case shape and front EL backlight button) and one of the most affordable G-Shock watches. A highly decorated combat veteran, Babin is also a vocal supporter of G-Shock. He has praised G-Shock on Twitter and often posted pictures of his DW-6600 with the #0445club hashtag to promote early rising and a productive lifestyle. Babin co-authored “Extreme Ownership: How U.S. Navy SEALs Lead and Win” with Jocko Willink. Babin is also the president and co-founder of Echelon Front.
