Russell Crowe wears a G-Shock MR-G watch in ‘Land of Bad’

There are many G-Shock appearances in military-themed movies, but it’s very unusual to see a G-Shock MR-G in one, which is the case with Land of Bad starring Russell Crowe and Liam Hemsworth. Crowe, playing Air Force drone pilot Eddie Grimm, wears a G-Shock MRG-B2000 throughout the film. It’s conceivable that the Grimm character, on a captain’s salary, might choose the G-Shock MRG-B2000. The model appears to be the MRGB2000B1A1, which retails for $3,000.
The made-in-Japan MR-G line is the highest end of G-Shock watches and features lightweight yet strong titanium builds. The solar-powered MRGB2000B1A1 has a deep layer hardening and diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating.
Land of Bad tells the story of a Special Forces team that is ambushed in the South Philippines. The movie opened in theaters on February 16 and is now available for streaming rental on various platforms.
