The G-Shock MTG-B1000 was a precursor to Carbon Core Guard models and represented a shift toward smaller and slimmer designs with its carbon fiber-reinforced case. The MTG-B1000 was also the first MT-G model to be equipped with Bluetooth. MT-G stands for “Metal Twisted G-Shock” and is named for its use of stainless steel exterior parts.
